Madrid, January 20, 2011-the Spanish Association for quality acoustics (AECOR) has decided to join to the Green Building Council Spain (GBC Spain or Council for sustainable construction), Member stable of the World Green Building Council (WGBC) which promotes sustainable construction to reduce the environmental impact. GBC Spain certifies buildings with an environmental certification, the GBC Spain green. To bring this certification, a building accurate successfully overcome a valuation process demanding in different aspects, such as environmental and energy efficiency and comfort, which includes acoustic conditions that exceed those required in the core document of protection against noise DB-HR. In this way, a certified as GBC Spain – green building meets stringent controls on sound insulation, in addition to other strict controls in areas such as the selection of site and its planning, the use of natural resources and energy, or the quality of the space Interior and services of the building. AECOR valued very positively the collaboration with GBC Spain coincide in this type of environmental and acoustic requirements that pursue a greater sound quality and comfort to its occupants. GBC Spain attends their certification aspects related to protection against outside noise of the facade, the isolation to air noise and impact noise between the different precincts of the building, as well as the noise levels produced by the facilities of the building, all with a level of greater than the current regulations demand. Support for some of the fundamental objectives of GBC Spain as the certification of sustainability and environmental quality of buildings in our country or the collaboration in the field of sustainable construction with standardisation bodies and departments and institutes of universities and research centres have been other elements valued by AECOR.
