Simon Philip

That day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered through the regions of Judea and Samaria. Some devout men buried Stephen and made great mourning for him. Saul, meanwhile, caused havoc in the church, going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in jail. Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah.

When he heard Philip and saw the signs miracles he performed, many people gathered and they all paid close attention to your message. Possessed of many evil spirits came out screaming, and many paralyzed and lame were healed. And that city was filled with joy. Even before that city was a man named Simon who, boasting of being a great character, practiced sorcery, and amazed the people of Samaria. Everyone from the smallest to the largest, paying attention and exclaimed: "This man is the one they call the Great Power of God!" They followed him because for a long time had been dazzled by his magic. But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized. Simon himself believed and, after baptism, followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great miracles and signs I saw. "Quienes preaching the Word? AThe they were scattered! It says the shepherds, as the best of them, the Apostles , remained in Jerusalem.
